เราได้เห็นข่าวการซื้อที่ดินใน Metaverse มาตั้งแต่ปลายปี 2021 ที่ผ่านมา ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ รวมถึงการแต่งงานใน Metaverse ของบ่าวสาวในอเมริกาและอินเดีย ที่ผู้ร่วมงานสามารถแสดงความยินดีโดยการให้ Cryptocurrency เป็นของขวัญแก่บ่าวสาว เศรษฐกิจของ Metaverse เริ่มมีให้เห็นมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ

อย่างไรก็ตาม การลงทุนใน Metaverse มาพร้อมความเสี่ยงเช่นกัน นอกจากจะต้องลุ้นว่า Metaverse คือ ”อนาคต” อย่างที่คนบางกลุ่มเชื่อมั่นหรือไม่ ยังต้องเลือก platform ที่จะเป็นที่นิยมและไม่หายไปในอนาคตอีกด้วย เพราะหาก platform ที่คุณเลือกลงทุนปิดไป เท่ากับว่าที่ดินหรือสิ่งของที่ซื้อไว้ก็หายวับตามไปด้วยทันที นอกจากนี้ การลงทุนใน Metaverse ถือว่าเป็นการลงทุนในตลาดที่ niche มาก ดังนั้น การลงทุนเพื่อให้ได้ผลกำไรอาจจะต้องวางแผนอย่างรอบคอบและระมัดระวัง

In 2021, we’ve seen investors around the world buying virtual land in the Metaverse. Even weddings of both American and Indian couples were held in the Metaverse where the guests could send cryptocurrency as a wedding gift. The growing economy and use of the Metaverse is flourishing and continues to grow at a rapid rate.
Why do investors and companies spend a fortune of money on land that does not physically exist? Because they believe Metaverse is “the future” and owning land in the Metaverse can be considered a profitable investment. For example, Tokens.com bought a $2.5 million plot of land in Decentraland where its CEO, Andrew Kiguel, is of the opinion that this land will make a million or billion US Dollar to the company. This March, Kiguel plans to hold a fashion show that includes collections from the famous designers, avatar models on the catwalk, pop-up shops and an after party for the audience. This upcoming fashion show also sells advertisements in the Metaverse.
However, investment in the Metaverse is risky. Not only is there a risk whether Metaverse will be “the future” like their expectation, investors have to choose the right Metaverse platform that is popular and will not vanish in the future. If the Metaverse platform you have an asset invested in evaporates, so does your asset. Moreover, the investment market in the Metaverse is very niche, as a result, investors need to keep a close eye on the investment.
Transactions in the Metaverse platform such as Decentraland, Sandbox and Axie Infinity are using cryptocurrency or NFT as a medium of exchange. Some popular cryptocurrency used in the Metaverse are ETH, SAND, MANA and AXS. In order to purchase and sell assets in the metaverse you must make sure you have a crypto wallet holding these various coins before going into the Metaverse.
